Preliminary findings show two South Bay dams are vulnerable to earthquakes

Preliminary findings of a seismic study conducted by the Santa Clara Valley Water District has found that Calero and Guadalupe dams are subject to significant damage if a major earthquake were to occur within close proximity of either dam. Red Flag Fire Warning

The National Weather Service San Francisco Bay area has issued a Red Flag fire warning for the North and East Bay Hills for Tuesday Evening 10PM (Oct 25, 2011 ) through Thursday Thursday Morning 6AM (Oct Oct 27, 2011).

A Red Flag Fire Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will occur shortly.
